Fraser McColl was born on 10th September 1948 and became a Corporate Partner in the City Law Firm Maxwell Batley in 1979. The Firm merged with Winward Fearon on 1st April 2007 and is now Maxwell Winward LLP.

Fraser specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate finance; much of his focus being in the hotel and leisure sector. Further information can be found at www.maxwellwinward.com.

He has two children, Sarah, who is a teacher, and Andrew, who has also become a lawyer. He lives with his partner Brenda, a Yoga teacher, in Kent.

His main interest outside the law involves travelling to, and walking in, some of the remoter parts of the globe. He has also enjoyed a long (and often painful) love affair with Crystal Palace Football Club.

He is proud of his Scottish roots, and owns debenture tickets at Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby.
